Top: Old Navy, clearance $3
Pants: Old Navy

*I later washed and dried the shirt which means it shrunk more than it should have!
Good thing it was only $3.

Thursday, October 18th

Oh it's conference night...and I look super cute!

Sweater: Target
Skirt: The Loft
Shoes: Steve Madden

Wednesday, October 17th

I wore this on my last day of my grad class...which I later got an "A" in, but the top also looks good with yoga pants.  Oh how I love my yoga pants!

Top: Old Navy
Skirt: The Gap, VA Outlets

Tuesday, October 16th

Thank goodness for a four day weekend!  It brought a shopping trip with my friend, Kristal, and resulted in some good finds- including this cute sweater.

Sweater: Ann Taylor
Pants: The Limited
Shoes: Steve Madden Heels

My sweater and two super cute skirts, which you will see by the first week of November, weren't my favorite finds.  We went to the Adidas store and I bought a pair of training shoes (*read don't run in these idiot!  You will get blisters). I also bought a pullover hoodie for runs and then came the bargain.  The lady said if I bought a duffle bag I would actually get 30% off my purchase, resulting in the bag being free and $12 off of the other stuff. What the what!?  It was glorious!

Thursday, October 11th

Top: Cobalt Blue...from Kohl's, I think!
This is one of my favorite tops.
I'll wear it with white shorts all summer!
Pants: Black Skinny Jeans from Old Navy
Shoes: Mudd Heels, changed into LC flats an hour into the school day

Wednesday, October 10th

If you look at the picture below, you'd think I just wore pants to work.  I promise you I did wear a top, because I still have a job! I can look at an outfit and know that I have not worn that combination, however for the life of me I cannot remember what I wore on this day.  I think I wore these pants because I had night class. Regardless, I wore clothes and haven't worn the same outfit!

Pants: Old Navy Skinny Jeans

Monday, October 8th

I have not posted in almost a month! And I have to admit that I haven't taken photos regularly, but I know for a fact I have no repeated an outfit. I am 1/4 of the way thru the year and have not repeated!!!!

Top: Sweater from Old Navy
Pants: From Kohl's Junior Section.
They were a little tight last year but were definitely loose when I wore them this time.
Best feeling ever!!!

I also finished one more grad class and managed to get an 'A'. On top of that, I have a pretty good couple of weeks!

Tuesday, October 9th

Top: Ballet Top from Old Navy- it is kind of a burnt orange color
Pants: Old Navy Ivory Skinny Jeans
Shoes: Roxy Flats

Friday, October 5th

They are Denim Trousers! They are not jeans, so technically they are permissible. Besides, isn't it all about looking professional and appropriate? And I've worn them before and everyone loves them. Let's move on!

Top: Old Navy
Pants: Old Navy

Thursday, October 4th

Check out my Grace Adler hair, that's Grace from Will & Grace. It's all natural and required me to wake up 30 minutes early.

Also, I am not a big TJMax fan but my friend and I escaped for a bit prior to conference night and I found this gem of a shirt.

Shirt: Michael Kors from TJMax
Pants: Old Navy Skinny Jeans

Friday, September 28th

Jeans day is the best day ever!  I think this is the first time I've worn jeans that weren't skinny jeans in a while.  These are bootcut and they were awesome.  My whole outfit was so great that I wore it to class on Saturday morning- mainly cause I was just really tired and it was comfy.  Don't judge me!

Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Old Navy Bootcut
Shoes: Dark Brown Rocketdogs

*Nothing says fall like busting out my Rocketdog shoes. These are my second dark brown pair, and I have a light brown pair too. Live in them all fall and winter!!!

Thursday, September 27th

It's conference night!

It was also the day after my night class- so I was super tired and dragging as it was.  I'm not gonna lie, when I wear my dresses, I kind of wish the whole plan of wearing everything this year only once didn't exist.

When I was in 5th grade today, one of the boys turned to me and said "You got that dress at NY&Co" with a smile. The other teacher gave him a crazy look as I said "you're absolutely right, I did!  Thanks for noticing!" Then the teacher said, "why do you know that?" The young boy said his mom goes there at least two times a day because it's her favorite store--- MINE TOO!!!  Such a cute story!

I also need to figure out how to crop pictures in this blog thing!

Dress: NY&Co
Shoes: Black Steve Madden heels

Wednesday, September 26th

I have fallen in love with colored skinny jeans, however the only colors I own are ivory and black. I can rock these two pairs to school any day! I'm a big fan of my white capris and these ivory pants are manageable for the fall and winter. I'd love to purchase a crazy color but can't decide what color would work best for me and my wardrobe. Suggestions?

Shirt: Old Navy
Pants: Old Navy, Ivory Skinny Jeans
Shoes: Khaki Roxy Flats

*I wear my hair up (to school) probably once a week- so when you see my hair like this, it's afterschool and late.

Tuesday, September 25th

Day two of wearing "jeans" to work...hehe! I started out with heels but that didn't last long at all considering I sounded like a horse coming down the hall. I got the scarf in the clearance bin at American Outfitters and by the end of the day my neck was blue and purple, but I looked good and had lots of compliments.

Tank: NY&Co
Sweater: NY&Co
Pants: Black skinny jeans
Shoes: LC black flats

Oh, and I took the photo in the Old Navy dressing room- not sure what is going on with my hair in my face though.

Monday, September 24th

I had a GREAT weekend- little bit of laziness, lunch with my momma, grocery shopping, texting, tutoring and...OLD NAVY!

Old Navy and I have a love hate relationship, probably due to my two years working there, or was it three? But I do love their jeans, especially skinny jeans and especially when they are on sale and I fit a smaller size!!!

I purchased a couple different pairs because I have to wash my jeans every time I was them. And I am always wearing a belt! I found a pair of "denim trousers" for $13 and totally had to rock them to school the following day.

Yes, I did get a "judging" look of disapproval first thing that morning but they are not real denim!!!

Tank: Tank from Target
Sweater: Brown & Orange from Ann Taylor, even though the Browns lost
Pants: Denim trousers from Old Navy
Shoes: Khaki Roxy Flats

Friday, September 21st

It was spirit day, so you don't get a full photo because I am not in for stalkers and creepers.

Shirt: basic gray soccer T
Jeans: American Eagle (on clearance) and too big for me (yippee).
Shoes: Pink Adidas

Thursday, September 20th

I know, I have skipped Wednesday! You see, it is impossible for me to take a photo in my bedroom when I am laying on the couch in my living room. I am trying to read a chapter for grad class and am not focusing at all....obviously! It could have been the Oktoberfest, chili, new jeans or another Browns loss, but the end result is still no paper.

Top: Ann Taylor tunic (love ❤)
Pants: Ann Taylor leggings (even more love ❤)

Wednesday, September 19th

Better late than never!

Just words, no photos...

I'm not posting a picture with this entry, so don't get too excited!

I think it's kinda cool that I've had over 150+ views since I posted just these pics today.  That beats my high (which was that green skirt day) by 110 views.  You know what else is super cool?  I've had people from the U.S. and Canada (obviously) view my blog- but also Saudi Arabia, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Germany and Russia. How awesome is that list?

Think you could help me hit 6 of the 7 continents?  I mean, if we could hit all 7 that's great, but does anyone really know anyone in Antartica?!  I need someone from Africa, Australia and South America to read my blog and we all know how I love my Australians. So spread the word on my "fashion" blog and get me some more readers....or watchers.  And I can also tell what photos are viewed the most- apparently you too like my skirts and dresses.

Tuesday, September 18th

Here's what I am learning: The outfit may look cute at 6:30 a.m. but at 7:00 p.m. not so much! I look completely frumpy, lazy and just look like a slob. My hair was down the entire day, so give me some credit for that! And I had heels and a jean jacket thru the day. Can I blame the daylong rain on my look?

Shirt: The Limited T-shirt, white tank underneat
Pants: The Limited, they are grayish-white patterned
Shoes: Black heels, only because it was raining and my pants are long

I think I have an obsession with The Limited!

Extra photos...

Apparently I did take some photos of myself and forgot!

Someone needs to start taking photos at work so the bathroom doesn't need to be cleaned before photos!

Monday, September 17th

Happy Birthday, Race!

In honor of your 8th birthday, I wore a cute dress. Actually, it's probably one of the last warm days we'll have. Stinks cause I did not get a chance to wear my white dress! I definitely felt as though the dress code was being pushed and even did the finger tip test....passed it!

I'll be the first to admit that I was not dressed "appropriately" for the soccer game that evening either. Froze my butt off!!!!!

Dress: Charlotte Russe

Friday, September 14th

Picture Day!

Of course, the moment I go to take my photo, my left eye starts to water! Just my left one, not the right one or both. It just waters the whole day and I look like I'm crying...out of one eye. AWESOME!

Top: NY&Co
Jeans: Old Navy skinny jeans
Shoes: Khaki Roxy Flats

I also wore this top last Saturday with jean capris. 😉

Thursday, September 13th

I loved this top!!!!! I looked über cute on Thursday- hair with a braid and messy tail, and glasses. On top of that, my outfit was awesome.

Sadly, I washed the shirt per instructions and it looks as though it may have shrunk a bit. We'll see!

Top: NY&Co
Capris: Limited
Shoes: Mudd heels

Wednesday, September 12th

Seriously could not remember what I wore this day! Apparently that is because I was sloppy and lazy....and had night class!

Top: Limited T
Capris: Target

Tuesday, September 11th

It was really hard to get dressed this morning after yesterday's awesome attire.

Top: The Limited
Capris: fake jeans from NY & Co, I think!

Monday, September 10th

Today's outfit was a success! Everyone complimented me on how nice I looked and I felt like I was in silky PJs the whole day. I think I had about 14 people tell me how great I looked. I am sure it had something to do with my great weekend.

Sara was my photographer again. As you can see, she's getting a little crazy with her photography skills.

Friday, September 8th

I wore this for my 30th birthday in May. On Friday, I managed to spill some stuff on myself.

Longest week ever...best weekend yet!

Top: Blue from The Limited, Outback Red Line
Capris: The Limited
Shoes: Mudd heels

Thursday, September 6th

Thursday...that means that I try really hard to look like I've had a good night's rest. I definitely enjoyed my nap on Thursday though!

Top: Kelly Green from The Limited
Capris: Black from The Limited
Flats: Black from Kohl's

Wednesday, September 5th

I 💗 this dress! I can't stress to you how much I love it.

I'll admit it is kind of short, but I think my green skirt combo may have been shorter. That being said, when I walked by the principal I would pull it down as much as possible- just like a student.

I also had to give the morning announcements this day. No matter how many hours I was on the radio at Mount Union, I will always be nervous speaking thru a microphone!

Dress: Navy & White Stripe from Charlotte Russe
Cardigan: Old Navy
Shoes: Mudd heels from Kohl's

Tuesday, September 4th

I know, definitely did not post these promptly. It was a long week for me with school and I seem to wake up a couple times a week at 3am. I actually had trouble remembering what I wore this week and as you can see, I'm not in the photos.

Longest week ever...but one of the best at the same time!

Told you I'd still rock my white after Labor Day!

Top: Navy Ballet Top from Old Navy. This has to brine of my favorite tops ever!
Capris: The Limited
Shoes: Navy Sparkle Flats

Labor Day, Shopping Day...

My lone mission for today was to find a new pair of black flats. I found them, and two other cute pairs!

I'm not sure how much I like the gold feathers on the black pair, but I think I can easily remove them if I want. They are from Kohl's and are Lauren Conrad. After watching The Hills marathon on MTV this weekend, I'm pretty sure LC and I would be BFFs.

The khaki Roxy shoes, well, they were cheap considering the brand it it was a pain to find both shoes. The store was so disheveled and apparently two girls had quit (I learned that when checking out). One shoe was on the table and when I asked to try them on they gave me the same shoe in the box. Like, just one shoe! She told me the other one was on display on the table- but that was the shoe she gave me in the box. Needless to say, we could not find both shoes, and of course I loved them...I mean, the one shoe?! After trying on some Sperry's, I found the other shoe and brought them home with me.

As for the blue sparkles, they'll look nice with some jeans- more of a date rather than a school day though. ☔ However, I'll probably wear them to school first.

I should go through my shoes and get rid of some next weekend.

Friday, August 31st

Cheers to the freakin' weekend, can I play that on the morning announcements and still have a job? It was jeans day today but it was also 90 degrees outside. And seven days after the year started, I finally have a schedule to start on Tuesday! I'll be in three sections of 8th grade math (or was it four), one section of 7th, one 6th grade math and one literacy, and one 5th grade lit class (which I am so excited for). Most of my classes aren't for the full class because of the schedule, but I like the variety and experience- and my long break midday, where I totally plan to leave the building. Oh, can't forget my 6th grade gifted class too!

Sara was my photographer today and she wanted me to pose outside, cause that's what she did for the first day of school. I told her these were total senior photo poses. I also think the power went to her head a bit!

Yellow striped tank: NY&Co
Jean Skirt: The Gap Outlet, got it in VA with my awesome family.
It's also a size which I haven't worn since high school and a tad bit loose now too!
Shoes: white flats

Thursday, August 30th

I had my second night of grad class (in a row) the night prior. I woke up knowing that functioning and dressing super cute were not possible at the same time. I walked in the doors with coffee in both hands and did not function most of the day, but I did look cute! And yes, there was a braid and ponytail in my hair- but I rocked it!

Cardi: Old Navy, love the color
Ruffled Tank: NY&Co
Capris: Kohl's, I bought these when I worked at the daycare in '05.
They are so old but I can't find any that I like like I love these!
Shoes: white flats

Wednesday, August 29th

You'll find that I love my white capris! I am not the type of person who wears white only between Memorial Day and Labor Day either. I wear white whenever the weather is warm enough- they probably do the same down south, right? Needless to say, I'll be wearing white after Monday.

Capris: The Limited
Top: The Limited, but online and clearance
Shoes: I wore black heels, but my toes were screaming the entire day

Tuesday, August 28

Today's outfit made me really happy because it was comfy, bright, cute and, best yet, left me saying "he is totally looking at my butt"...and I need that at this point in time!

Green Skirt: H&M, for $6.
Pink Tank: NY&Co, I layer these under everything.
White Button Shirt: NY&Co
Brown Wedge Heels: Bass

Monday, August 27th

I really liked today's outfit and loved the color combo, plus it was super casual for a Monday.

Jean Jacket: Kohl's, I think it's Panama Jack
Yellow-White Stripe T-shirt: Kohl's, Junior's section for $6
White Tank: Target
Gray Capris: The Limited
White Flats: Target

Check out my new watch- it's white with a copper trim and was $7 at Kohl's.

Friday, August 24th

I forgot to take the photo and am just too lazy to put it on three days later!

Cobalt Blue Top: The Limited, love the silky fabric
White Capris: The Limited... and taken in by my mom multiple times

First Day: August 23, 2012

I have to learn how to take good pics of myself- the iPod isn't cutting it in this picture!

Anyways, here is my first day outfit.

Dress: Lauren Conrad Collection (60% off)
Cardigan: Old Navy
Shoes: (not shown) Bass Wedge Heels

I love the shoes but my feet have been accustomed to flip flops all summer so I was in pain by the end of the day. However, I looked super tall and loved towering over students and adults!

A look into my closet, I mean classroom

I know the purpose of this blog was to journal my fashion choices for the school year, but I'm super excited about how cute my classroom/closet turned out this year and I just had to share.

The shelf on the floor needs to be removed and the new principal ordered a bookshelf that will go under the cabinets (in place of the small one).

Our word wall and my poster, which I drew on my own.

Dry erase board and classroom rules.  I like that little shelf above the dry erase board- kids can't reach it, but I can (barely).

I also need to dress up the bulletin board and add a border, maybe on Monday. I have the border at school but I think some yellowish-orange fabric may be in order, or green!

I made the circles, laminated them and added magnets to them as well.

Hope I get to use it this year- at least I can hide here to study for my grad classes!
